BACKGROUND
adidas Tango League is a tournament that exists at the intersection of football and street culture. The Toronto iteration sees 16 of the city’s best teams battle it out for the crown of Tango League Champions.
Over the course of four events, we designed 58 team crests and kits to represent the cities finest footballers. Leveraging imagery and design elements from adidas football campaigns (each event also signified the release of a new boot), we aimed to encapsulate the flavour of adidas football in these team identities. Additionally, we created design assets for a customization station that allowed event guests to create and customize their own t-shirts and football kits. These designs celebrated the return of the iconic ‘predator’ football boot, Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba, and more.
